Hey guys,
you are right, i stopped writing cause we are really busy in the moment !!!
I hope you can understand.

So few things to answer to.
The car Jilles is using is not still prototype, its completly a production car, except the fuel tank and the gear box. But there is a reason for it.
We already have the final parts, but we compared them to the other parts as we had some problems with the prototype cars using the ....y parts. So with the foreign parts we had the problems, like stripping the spur gears. First we thought the problem is our car, but as we had the first Shepherd production parts we recognized that we donīt have these problems. So from time to time we check back a few items to be sure our ones are working.
Thats the reason for some foreign parts in the car of Jilles.

We are completely done with all the parts, but......if there are missing just a few items we can not completely finish the packaging.
And we wnat to have this car as close as possible to perfect, and so sometimes we have to "fine adjust" something to hit the target.

So guys, stay cool, keep your tools on stand by, i am sure itīs worth to wait some more days.

So i try to check out the rctech from time to time and let you know whas up.

kind regards

Alex

It's easier to wait if we hear from you from time to time

Hello Everyone,

I know I used the pre-production tank at the ROAR Nationals but the problem was actually that the spring on the tank to close the lid/seal is very strong and when the tank would become hot in a long race it actually would get a little soft and compress the center of the tank down reducing the CC's of the tank...lol... I know a little extra time went into adjusting the mold to stiffen the tank so the shape/size wasn't deformed so if I had to guess they were testing tanks in Germany but sent Jilles something safe that they knew would work.

Also, I did test the Xray tank vs the Shepherd one and if Jilles was very quick then he will be another .05-.1 faster with the Shepherd one as the balance of the car is better and the CG is lower with the stock V10 tank.

I did recieve all the pricing information from Patrick about 2 weeks ago but I've been at the ROAR Electric Nats and then just trying to catch up on things here. I will get the pricing out to our dealers immediatly and start taking US pre-orders (we already have some).

Last, the CEFX site has been updated with ROAR Nationals and the final MWS Series race reports. I have a lot more to put up there but those are up now and I'll try to get the set-up sheets on their asap as well.

Lots going on and we are still super busy here!!! Can't wait for the V10 to make it even more crazy...lol...

Hi guys,
the problem Josh is talking about in deed is a point of.
And no, we do not have the same manufacturer.
The f...... fuel tank is always a problem, there are so many thing to have a look to, the size, the filter, the material, the welding, the shape and so on and so on. It is really one of the unliked parts in the car.
And in the moment there are still just few parts missing or have been changed from our side.
But the finishing level should be somewhere around 98,5%.
Thats what i wanna tell you and can tell you.
In the next days the german/english manual will be online on the team shepherd homepage, so you can start working at your car !

So be a little patient with us a few more days, we are working really hard to bring you the car.

Also there will be some more new pics the next days from the kit car.

So stay tuned

Alex

Who needs a bag? Just put a shipping label on each individual part. What do you think it would cost to ship 2-300 individual items from germany to the US?
