What's up with this split bumper?? What is it good fore? Can this work like a Ventury chanel and get some under-pressure on the front axle? Some people suggested it is for easier mounting the front roll bar but Velox has a blade roll bar not a wire tipe like Serpent!

I suspect it provides extra airflow through the car up to the engine. Its really hot down there, so i guess they will do as much as possible and not ruin the speed of the car...

It is also some type of under body aerodynamics...
Is this allowed?...

If you watch closely it is not two piece
It's actually a single bumper with the middle piece cut out.
Maybe they are testing if Serpent's design works for them too

I also have an Xray gearbox in my car - It's what they used for prototyping/testing. I did just recieve an e-mail asking me to test the Kyosho gearbox in the car this weekend so I am off to go work on that and see how to make it fit...lol...

I found the bumper interesting on the Serpent car as I thought we couldn't have under the body aero aides (for any reason). Maybe the rule is gone now. What it's used for?? I'm not sure - I doubt to cool the engine. I know sometimes we relieve the bumper from the electric TC's to let more air to the front tires so they are cooler. We also have the front slightly stepped away from the body to allow air into the front as sometimes when you are on throttle (nose up) it will actually catch air under the front and make the car understeer. Relieving the bumper slightly can help this and give you more high speed steering. I have a spare bumper for the V10... I take it everyone wants me to take a dremal to it to see what it does?? lol...

Josh, I believe that rule is gone now. At least I couldn't find it in the ROAR rules last time I checked. Besides, it's pretty easy to say it's just a bumper with a funny shape, not a wing. I mean if you really want to get technical, the chassis itself is an underbody aero device.

Not so loud! Its an improved bumper, more rigid, better aerodynamic profile, not to be compared with any other design.

how could it be more rigid? if you made a cut right on the center then it becomes weak right? just admit it is copying the new Serpent 733 car.
