Some guys cook them in a crock pot with antifreeze over night. I use stuff call Carbon-off. You spray it inside and outside the pipe, let it sit for about an hour and rinse it in cold water with an old toothbrush. Both ways work pretty good.

I know that if you boil your pipe and header in antifreeze that should clean it up and for protection RB PRODUCTS has a product that will help protect the pipe and header from tire foam and dirt good luck

If you use the crock pot method, use straight green antifreeze. First time I tried it with 50/50 premix and it turned everything black. It actually looks pretty cool though. Sort of like black chrome.

You can also re-use the anti-freeze. I've had mine in the crock pot for 1 1/2 years and use it at least once a month to keep my pipes/headers/cooling heads and crankcases clean. Funny...alot of my racing buddies ask me where I got the new pipe or new motor cause they look so new after the cleaning in the crock pot and the Eagle-One polishing.

This topic has been discussed before...here is more info.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-ro...leaning-2.html

Cook pot (less then $15 @ Walmart) plus STRAIGHT anti-freeze (do not get 50/50 pre-mix....less then $10), cook pipe, engine blocks, headers or any aluminum metal piece over night, then rinse with water and wipe off dirt...works perfect.

Pipe/header will NOT be polished by using this methrod, this methrod will remove all the black stuff...you have to polish them by using polish compound...
