Default Novarossi parts compatibility

I was wondering if the heatsink heads are interchangeable for novarossi small block engines, specifically between the RS12 based engines and the newer NS12 based engines? Reason I ask is because i want to buy a Kawahara/Zac Racing heatsink head for a NS12RRL5 and i'm not sure if it will fit.

Well, you'd probably have to get a different crank that is made for pull starts. Not worth changing out the NS crank. I think it's "new" for the NS series.

You can't fit a pull-starter onto an NS12. The crank is bigger than the old CX12. If you want a good pullstart motor, look into a CV-R or a 15 CV-R.

Get a box and be done with it once and for all. Think about it: No more blisters, no more missed qualifiers because the stupid wire or one-way bearing gave up, less weight, more power, engine cost is less, more space in car, Keep cranking til it fires up, without you breaking a sweat.... I don't see too many racers going back to pullstarters after they buy a box.

If for some reason you have to have pullstart because you are using it in a maxx or similar, get the CV-R or TR form O.S.....

True and not forgetting higher CG with the pull starter... But I think for some beginner races in certain countries, the pullstart is mandatory.

I knew that some people run a stock class with side exhaust only engines, but mandatory pullstart...to me that sounds like creating rules that make for less fun at the track....

Thanks guys. Then I need to buy a starter box, and that's it.
