lots of time i have heard people saying ko and futaba has better response than the sanwa or airtronics , and i have yet to get the chance to feel it for myself.
i have been in this hobby since late 2002. and for this period i have only had 3radios. the first one was a sanwa blazer beginner radio, use it for 2-3 months. then i got the m8 that comes with 2 VR servos.after 5 years upgraded to the M11. guess what i am still using the old module and receiver that came with the m8 and one of the original vr servos talking about reliability and durabality heh. but who knows later down the road i might change to other brand.

Another thing i love about my KO Propo system, is that the 2.4ghz receiver and module does not slow down response and latency time.
Also, their receiver is one of the smallest in the industry, therefore super light weight and for all the EP racers, space is limited on chassis' these days, so it keeps everything compact and leaves room for all your electronics. For nitro applications, a smaller receiver is a smaller target for your opponents!
KO Propo :thumbs up:

So you people have little fight who has the oldest working radio equipment huh ?
I still race with four Futaba 1024 PCM R113iP receivers which I had them from Hobby Shack ( Now, it's called Hobby People ) back to 1994. The radio transmitter was 3PB ( it's still working and in good condition ). They are 15 years old equipments .

The people complaining that this and that radio is slower than the other must be superhuman. I went from a 3PK HRS to M11 2.4GHz last spring and noticed NO difference whatsoever. I'm not a newb, been racing over 15 years, but the lag thing is a non-issue for all the human beings I know.

Airtronics M8
I have an Airtronics M8 with a rechargable battery pack, I do not have the battery tray that came with the radio and I would like to get a second battery.
I have looked around the net and can not locate a battery does anyone else know where to get these batteries.
I have found the original battery tray at one of the online hobby shops and im thinking that may be a cheeper way to go.
It was 9.99 and then get some 2500mah rechargable energizers at wall wart 17.00 and be done with it.
Any thoughts or suggestions.

Put aside the speed and reliability because very hard to feel the speed difference and reliability..hemm..some isolated cases happened to both brands...BUTTTTTTTTT..when it come to looks!!!!!!...I would personally say.. FUTABA wins...more handsome. I guess. and it is in its own elite class
I previously owned M8 , M11 , now use 3pks 2.4 and 4PK..

after personally testing it out for a few tanks i would have to say , comparing to my previous old system the difference 'response' is not that noticeable. but i felt more "comfort and confidence" in the driving.

I have been using Airtronics equipment for years and have had really good luck. Plus the M11 is really simple to use.

As for the lipo I have seen them and read about the weight diff but that
would me getting a lipo charger just for that battery as I run 1/8 nitro.
