Thanks for the info

Brian
Depending on where you are, 37s may be too soft - could be they overheat and you loose grip. Even in coolish conditions, I've been running 40s.

A silly question: have you checked carefully that you car is setup correctly - usally the stock setup works really well and only needs to be tweaked to get it to work for different tracks, due to the wide sweet spot of the 710.
Check your diff isn't too tight and stuff like track width, toe in, camber, anti-roll bars, etc. are definately setup as per standard setup.

It would be better to invest your time trying to get a setup which works for you by starting from the standard setup and then using the "setup-book" to get it to work for you, as you'll also get to know the car better

Cheers, Mark.

Don't use upstops, remove the screws for them altogether. For the downstops, support the chassis on the Hudy blocks and remove the shocks and sway bars. Then use the hudy droop measuring too to ensure that they are set correctly. The droop has to be set very carefully as it has abig effect on the handling. Just follow the instruction in the setup book.

For track width, meausre it with the wheels on and with the car on the ground. Simply put a ruler across the width - also check to see if left and right sides are equal.

Hmm sound a bit too warm for 37s.

No problems - but check carefully the setup is done correctly first - it is worth the time investment. Once you've got the basic setup, then you can easily make the small adjustments to get to your desired setup. And you'll enjoy driving the car all the more

If it were overreving when he released the trigger at the end of the straight, then it would be the LSN being too lean.

Mark.
It is overeving when he hit the triger, right he release it to drop speed little bit. It happned only on the exit from straight , doesn't happened nowhere else.

Your problem is the one way bearing in the 1. gear. Lube or replace it, and your problem will be gone.

hey guys, any idea on why my kit came with black flywheel and hudy spring steel colored pinion?
and it didn't come with a spacer for the pinions.

i do remember the flywheel being "serpent flywheel color" when i built 710 last year. anyways any info would be appreciated.

Looks like you have a kit from a new batch. The brown pinion replaces the black pinion for which you needed the spacer. Never seen that black flywheel though...
Got a thicker rear shocktower, thicker bumber plate and longer rear lower arms too?

Serpent BeNeLux sold old team 705's a while back but I didn't get one... Could be worth something in the future!
