I don't know the dude.
All I know about him is he uses every opportunity to bash Serpent.

He probably is, like I said I don't know him.

I do remember him relating Serpent and China in another thread, possibly another forum, that's why I asked in first place.

If someone claims Serpent being made in China, all I ask for is proof. So far I've seen nothing.

I highly doubt 3racing makes original Serpent parts, since I haven't stripped any threads on Serpent parts. And if they make original parts that fit, why don't a lot of their option parts fit?

Unhappy to those complaint to 710

I had run my 710 today, everyone in my area who saw the car agree it is a very good car for both performance and budget .
Even a newbie like me can set the car right and drive it
I hardly break anything unless it is a serious crush
I had no idea why ppl kept losing dogbone
it never happend to mine.
everything work as i want it to be.
not to be rude but maybe those who lost dogbone or whatever should revise their building skill.

Julius likes it (I think). Makes driving in a long main more consistant by being able to take more consistant lines especially when traction is lacking.

Make sure you keep the front trackwidth narower when you install the front ball diff or put some silicone tubing to space out the front dogbones.

If you had problems with the 710 pinions, what are your thoughts on the G4 and Kyosho pinions?

Here's what I use for the thrust bearing. The black grease that comes with a dremel. I had the same problem of blowing thrust bearings all the time in the 705 (nothing to do with clutch set up - not the first centax I ever had by a long way). I started coating the thrust bearing with dremel heavy grease and not had to change it in a long time.
Just last Sunday we ran a really wet final and it was the only thing left on my car that actually worked. The rest were ceased from the water and the receiver took a few hours to dry out (forgot to put in the candlewax as it was anew receiver).

Check the two 6x13x5 bearings in the layshaft and the mid bearing blocks too. Those bearings take a lot of beating.

Actually, some Serpent parts are sourced from Asia (confirmed by a Serpent employee). But that is far from the problem. Quality is not the issue with the 710.

People think that if a car is weak that the quality is poor. Not the case. Its simple physics. A brick of a car that is not as competitive in race trim or a lighter car that is competitive but cannot withstand the same abuse. People complained that they wanted a more competitive car and when they get it they complain that the car is too weak. And they say the customer is always right

Just today we were running in a Palmaris Engine for a Grand Prix event next week and a slight knock of a rubber track divider split the front bumper, snapped a shock shaft and split a hub. The engine was still running very rich and hardly any speed was involved. Yet I have seen the car hit the same object at full racing speed and just bounce off. Each part is designed to maximise stress in a particular direction. Add stress or a force in a different direction as to what is intended and the part will break like it was a matchstick.

Im sure hes a nice guy, but also talks alot of trash. There's only 2 reasons he doesnt like Serpent, either loses to a snake on the track or he got bitten by a snake hard on the ass.
