Here I am recruiting like a b...... and you just shrug it off I actually dont care what the guys drive, as long as they are cool about it and that they share what they know... I dont know much about the 710 as mine has not arrived yet, but I know a small amount about engines, and I try with fuel... I actually want to mix 6% oil, and 16% (race legal) and see how the motor screams then... I will use Sidewinder oil as it is my personal favourite.

What can I say, Im a hard sell . I agree. It doesnt matter what the next guy drives. For my sins I am trying out a MRX3 soon as I am getting back into 1:8th this year.

6% oil sounds interesting. I wouldnt mind trying that myself.

We all should definately contribute what we know. Its the only way to get new blood into the hobby and make sure they enjoy it enough to stick at it. Otherwise in the next 10 years we wont have a hobby to promote.

I agree totally... promotion is the way of life, work... hobby... this is the way.

remember that's 6% good quality oil. I might want to try 4% oil, BUT, it will be a mixture of stuff that I will specify, and it will be an old engine. Top quality castor, with some top quality synthetic, about 1% only.

Why is your engine taking so long to get delivered? Did you pay for sea freight?

How long was the 705 released for before the 710 was available?

Yeah, WHY??? probably, the same problem I had... I ordered my motor first, and one of my servo's arrives soon, and the other... (A DANG expensive KO) arrives with my kit. They are shipping next week.

Default Serpent 710 Kai kit

In speaking with the developers of the Serpent 710 Kai conversion set, it turns out that the kit contains only the carbon fibre parts. It does not include all of the parts required for a complete conversion.

Here is what they said in response to my inquiries:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Sirs
Our kit is composed only of C-FRP parts.
Because the other part isn't included, you please buy at the shop in your country particularly.
< Necessary parts which isn't included in the kit >
The 630 ball bearing?@*1
The M3 - 14 mm screw *1
TheM3 washer?@*‚P
The M3 nylon locknut *1
It is one set in the turnbuckle with the about 30 mm full length. *1set
The part number 802144 of the SERPENT Inc. * 1
The part which is the linkage can use the normal part of 710 kits.
A manual is included.
An explanation is Japanese but is explained with the photograph.
Sincerely yours
T.Komata
I am waiting until this kit is available at The Border shop in NL.
You can see this kit at the following URL:
You can hit me with a flying 710 if you want. Provided you sign a contract first saying I get to keep it for personal damages
But if my memory is working right I think in some areas there was only 10/11 months between the 2 cars.
10-11 months...I hope its because of the 705 problems that people are talking about. If the 710 proves to be a great car all around then it should stay around for some time.
