What do you consider as hop ups? Titanium screws? Front ball diff? Rear solid axle? Aluminum shock bodies? Hudy spring steel wheel adaptors? Vented brake disc? Race brake pads? Aluminum anti roll bar levers? Lola body conversion bumper mounting and shock tower? Front shaft lock set? Lightened Centax III clutchbell?

Well, I tried the aluminum shock bodies last weekend. Although it was nice to know that you got bomb proof shocks, the extra weight is pretty noticeable from the stock plastic ones.

Adjustable rear roll bar like the one in the pic is possible. But I think Serpent needs to change the brake upper plate in order to cater for that type of sway bar design. Besides, that type of sway bar design is pretty heavy. If you didn't know, the current one is also adjustable. I quote from the 710 setup booklet...

The rear anti-roll bar is adjusted in two ways. There are two positions on the lower arms where the linkages connect; the inside position is the softer setting, and the outside point is the stiffer setting.

Rear anti-roll bar stiffness is also affected by the position of the pivot ball on the anti-roll bar itself. Placing the pivot ball towards the end of the anti-roll bar gives a softer setting.

The Lola conversion? Well, Serpent has not made those options yet. Still in the pipeline. Pop in to mytsn under the products and when they are out, you can see them posted.

cyba888, we get ours here for approx USD 337 after conversion with the current exchange rate.

So now I know that we're not the cheapest place in the world to get the 710 !

p/s: If I recall, were you one of those who got the 705, sold it and bought the MTX-3 and now back to Serpent 710?
thanks for the info. the JR receiver i have not only has the crystal in a different spot, it is too large to fit in the cover. anybody have a nice, used used radio they are willing to part with?

as for owning a mtx-3, i have only ever had a 705 and now a 710. you must be thinking of someone else.

LOL you caught me! I do like shaft cars and have a FW-05R (a great car, by the way). I travel between US and Asia on regular basis for work and have been think about keeping a car in Taiwan so I can run it when in Asia. I thought about getting another FW-05R but am thinking about trying something different. The 710 looks good and I am curious about how it compares to the FW-05R. I am also considering a G4 but leaning toward the 710 at the moment.

Jeffreylin,

Are you in Taipei for vacation? I got mine at Wan Ban. I think they are the only track in Taipei where you have to pay to run it. Very nice track compared to the ones in Taipei. Where do you run your car? Its cool to see others here that are from Taiwan as well. If you would like maybe we can race sometimes Call this number at 28975114. Speak to the owner, he's the only one that will give you a discount.
