I do this coz i need to place 60 gr lead beside tank (pipe side).
And M. Green was right, it cures the slight pull to the right when throttle applied.
Do most cars do that? I know my mtx3 did, and I always thought it might be due to torque/precession effects???? Just a guess; any engineers out there????????

I take it back, it pulled to the left.

No, my 705 and old Impulse did not.
Just make sure all shocks, droop setting, tire dia. are the same.
Remove the stab. bar and the important thing is replace the ball end in all steering linkage to make sure there is no excesive slop in there.

Just a tip:
- If you applied throttle and the car pulls to one side and when you release it and your car is going to opposite direction. Mostly above condition is your shock is in different length and different damping. Or your chassis is tweak already.

Sorry, no service at all....
What are you on about!! In the english language there is no sound for the Ü and therefore Nürnberg is called Nuremberg, just like München is called Munich and Köln (because there is no Ö in english) is called Cologne. Of course there are translations of town names into different languages - you'd have a hard time pronouncing Moscow (which for your information is москва ) if it was spelt with the Russian character set.

I don't see what your you are tying to achieve in this pointless discussion, but get your facts right before telling me that I have spelt something wrong!!!!

I'll give you another hint: try the website "dict.leo.org" that's a german-english/english-german online dictionary. Type in all the German town names you want - to your heart's content - it'll tell you how they are written in English.

This is a discussion forum about the Seprent 710, not for language questions - get back on the thread.

With Futaba 9550 steering servo, 9301 throttle servo, personal transponder, kit tires cut to 61.5 mm, TL 8080 Alfa 156 body, car weight is 1704 Gm. I have an additional dual connector in the battery lead which probably account for the slightly higher weight than others have reported.
Is the 9550 really strong enough for the 710 - I have one in my EVO III and it works great, but I thought it may have been too small/weak for a nitro

Cheers, Mark.

I havent got any problem with those low profile servo Mark.
Actually on my TRF414WCR I spend almost 8-10 servo horns (im using no saver) for last year season and the servo is still OK.

I have a >year on this servo including two Sedan Nats, a Winter Nat., 12th Regional, two Paris Races and a Speedline, and won the club point series. And I just installed this servo in the 710. I have heard negative reports when used as a throttle servo. I used it without a problem. I think the issue here is not getting the tensions out of the throttle linkage, so that the servo does not hum at neutral.

if you run lots of drag brake some, or all i have tried, digital servos do not like the throttle, but 9550 is way fine for the 710... i have been using the same digital servo for steering for over two years.. it is much faster .08 but only make 89 oz of torque for steering and it is a none issue on power and funtion.. throttle I like lots of speed but having about 100 oz is maditory for my braking style..

Thanks for the answers regarding the 9550. Something you mention there ammdrew: throttle speed. Someone mentioned a while ago, it may have been Rene C from Serpent, that having a fast throttle may not be so good. Aparently, if I recall correctly, having the throttle reacting too quickly can lead to an upset in the mixture. The idea being that the mixture in the carb takes longer to re-settle, i.e. can't respond quickly enough to the new position of the throttle.

Not sure if there was a concensus of agreement on this one or not. Anyone else know about this?

Cheers, Mark.
