Can you find out what gearing and what tire diameters that they use on their current NTC3 and Mugen cars and what gearing and tire diameters that they used on the 710 previously? Like what MrChan mentioned, it could be due to those factors.
What I suspect is that the gearing on the NTC3 and the Mugen is more suited for that small track. The gearing on the NTC3 is also usually tall but remember that they are not using Centax clutches and that the shoe type clutch slips.
Just a general thing that I have noticed... The 710 gearing is generally very tall out of the box when compared to the other cars. Meaning that it is more suited for longer high speed tracks. Even using the shortest gearing, it's still tall compared to the rest of the other cars. That is why Serpent has come out with the new 20T 2nd gear pinion for short tracks... Don't know if using this pinion will help you on that track.
