Hello. I started mounting my 966 and about to install the centax on my flash21,are the cranck of this engine shorter,Because i can't fit any shims between my bearing and bearing carrier, when thigtening the screw,my bell rubbes the shoe I'am not new to these on road cars but lost on this!
Can someone with a flash mounted in their 966 speak up

My guess, take a look at the flywheel cone, and install either the one that came with the kit, or the one that came with the engine, don't put shims behind this cone to start with....
When installed, this cone should just be sticking out a little bit at the back of the flywheel.

Thanks, I have tried both cones,The cone that comes with the kit are placing the flywheel closer to the front bearing,But not enough The bell still touches shoe when tightening This is so frustrating

Not really an answer....

there are shims around that you can place between the retaining holder and the crankshaft. this effectively lengthens the crankshaft. i have had to use these shims on a few engines of late, specially the tourer. they are just big enough to slide onto the retaining screw, but also small enough to slide inside the front clutch bearing. if the bell is tight, then look at a 1mm shim. if you have too much gap , then you can shim it out normally.

But did you already try to help him out?
I love you to....
But just because I'm questioning what your beloved Sam said, I'm an Ass?
What do you think about yourself....
Basically what Sam is telling the guy is that he has the same engine and doesn't have a problem, so that's it, well, that really helped him....
Can you take a picture of the thrust bearings installed?
And the bearings installed in the clutchbell.
If you take out the 5x7 bearing spacer between both clutchbell bearings, would that help?
I'm talking about partnr.: 909514

Sometimes it helps when you take a pull on the crankshaft. When the shaft is a bit tight in the bearings and it is not pulled out until the real end you can loose some tenths of a mm length for the clutch.
I always do that before placing the cone.

there a pain in the arse, more crap to loose when you take you clutch apart.
I suspect Novarossi knows they have a slight problem as their newest collari
engine has a longer shaft
