MyTSN no longer exist, your best source of information for the 966 will be right here on this thread.

For off-road, I would prefer the buggy,
for on-road, the 966 will do...

I've just dropped my buggy to go to onroad again. I've got to say onroad is really great fun. One of the biggest plus points for me in onroad is it never ever gets as dirty as offroad and there are only a few tyre shores to pick from, where as there are many compounds and tread patterns etc etc in offroad. Another good thing is that there is no oil for diffs..... them things were messy

well I tried offroad recently and I have to say it is fun !! had a chance to drive a rc 8 . I see with offroad cars you can be off a little with the setup and still do well . and it just was so much fun

ya, setups for offroad are not as critical as onroad and it's more forgiving when racing. you could crash alot and still do pretty well!

now back to 966: what are the really essential spare parts to have (minimum)? due to wear and tear and crashes...

This are the essential spares that Serpent made it easy for the racers.
Front suspension set (front crash pack) it comes with a Bumper, a Front body mount, a pair of front knuckles, a pair of front upper and lower A arms Part# 903284

Rear suspension set (rear crash pack), it comes with a pair of rear lower A arms, a pair of rear upper arms and a pair of rear uprights, all good for either left or right. part#903286
