Default Side belt tension

Hi.
I just finished transforming my 960-08 to a 966. Everything went fine. However, when i put in the side belt, i had to set the tensioner much higher (softer) to get the same tension in the belt.

Did the distance from the middle pulley and the 2-speed axis change from one car to the other ?

well now that the Italians are happy and dont traction roll with their new chassis stiffner maybe Serpent will make updates to the chassis to soften it so the rest of us mere mortals have more traction from the car itself

Did you put in a new belt also?
because the distance is not changed as ar as I know...
But the tensioner in a higher position is always better..

Never heard of the body, I see that it just got release by "East Coast bodies" it's just another 1/8 scale body, Serpent got nothing to do with this body.

No, the belt is the same that was in the 960-08, but i had the stiffner where the tensioner is secured unscrewed from the rear bulkhead. Maybe that was the difference ? Shouldn't be because it was still screwed to the radio plate support.

Anyway, i'm happy i had to soften the tensioner, i was just curious as to why.

yes.

the track is always at medium - low traction then picks up and goes to medium traction.

I also can not push the car too much. if I go in to a corner too fast it under steers and its very hard to get it back to the line. If I try and get more steering then it spins out or it is very nervous to drive.

The car is fast but very un predictable with the standard setup. So far I am not very sure how to set it up

I see you are Turkey,

Have you tried to get Michael's set-up from when we were there?

Hello DJ,

I don't have Micheal's Bumod Setup. and he hasn't posted it yet. I think he is just too busy so I didn't want to bother him more
