I know for the rear we had to make the plastic plugs that go into the carbonfiber braces a little bigger. with them already installed we measured the pin witdh wich i think is 3mm and had to ream out the hole a little bigger. the hole colapse a little when their installed into the braces making it a tight fit as soon as you do that it should free up the rear end. As far as the front just use a pivot reamer to clean out the pin holes

It sounds to me like you could also be locking the front wheel. Maybe too much through left and to right. Take out some travel and try that. Also make sure you have equal left to right travel when you do this.

Paolo, i have a 08 960, i have the 966 upgrade set , about to fit it in a week and a few days. this clutch setup, i have original throw out shoes on it in the kit of the 08. would a hole be suitable to make it open in reverse direction ? or would it lighten the shoe too much for this setup ? i dont have enough time to get the right shoes for this. would it work ok ? thanks. Patto....

the hole u are mentioning it's fine. Will work. Make sure you make the hole in the same position in each shoe

We found that the setscrew in the cvd created a bind at times... since the bearing holds the pin in...we removed the setscrew.

Not to sound like I'm brown nosing or jumping on the Serpent band wagon, I have to say this: On a manufacturing , assemby, tuning, and rebuilding standpoint, this 966 is unbelieveable. Everything is so easy to get to and adjust it's not even funny. I haven't driven it yet and I am no means the greatest driver, but from what I've seen and touched, this car is the top of the line race car. The quality of the parts that come standard in the kit is unbelieveable as well. Sorry it took me so long to get talked into this kit. If everyone had the oppurtunity to get full hands on experience on all 1/8th cars before they had to shell out the money, I think everyone would be driving this car (asside from biassed sponsored and team drivers of other brands) Sorry, I just had to post my opinion.
