the Serpent one we have in stock...

http://www.evilhobbyshop.com/Gear-Pi...h,PR-2052.html

but the Mugen one works as well.

the main differences:

Mugen aluminium Serpent Plastic.
Mugen holds on to one tooth, Serpent fits over snuggly and holds all teeth
Mugen expensive, Serpent Cheaper

Got my 966 shipped to me Saturday and cant wait to get it on the track, Question I do have for you Serpent Bro's is about the rear body mount. I heard that some are using the MRX-5 rear mount, so what is the reason to change to an MRX-5 part on a Serpent ?

Thanks

The car doesn't need anything as it comes from the factory, everything is top notch, no aftermarket needed. There's a couple of things that are nice to have though. A set of aluminum pulleys and the aluminum upper deck mount. The upper deck mount is just a tunning option. That's about it

They use the mugen mount with mounting collars because it's easier to remove than the serpent with the 2 mm clips

The quick fix is to dill holes throught the mount over the mounting pin locations and use a grub screw to hold
Mounting rods in place. Kinda ala Capricorn/ Kyosho

Also u put a nice flat spot in the rods for the grub screw to flatten out on just don't over tighten and strip the plastic

Default 16T Pulley

Hi,

I need for a prototype project, the pulley dimensions (measures) of the Serpent 966 or 960.
If you have an electronic caliper, can you give me the dimensions ( millimeters ) of the 16T pulley.

Can you give me those ones (the 4 narrows colors) ?

Excuse me for my poor english...
Thanks,
Bye !

My project :

Think most racers are just running without the front brace , I ended up cutting the ears off and just using the center to make the assembly easier because the bulkheads and spool drop in as a unit.
