The Central was THE body to have, then the Zytek came out and the Central, and most other bodies, were made obsolete.

gday there guys,being a bit of a newbie to 1/8th, just reading threw a few different setups on the serpent website, i see some are running trackrod under steering block arms and wheelaxle low in steering block,would someone be able to explain these to me and there benefit.

Running the axle low in steering block raise the front roll centre. You gain more on-power steering (rotation).

Putting steering link under the steering blocks creates more 'bump steer' effect. Ie. when the front suspension is compressed, the front toe-in will increase. This can help stabilise the car under braking. Also, it reduces the overall Ackerman effect during weight transfer into a corner. The outside wheel turns in more in the the direction of steering; hence, increasing the initial turn-in.

I have 2 painted and mounted bodies for a 966 one is a Protoform 909 V2 and the other is a Zytec. Never used pm me for pix if interested. Thanx
