Default Angle on front hangers

Your right Michael.

So in practical terms on the track, contact patch is in fact dynamic throughout the turn. Soooo, raising front of the hanger, gives more corner entry but lose a little corner exit. The opposite occurs by raising rear of the bracket helps corner exit. You really need to try these back to back without chaning anythging else. I suggest a 2mm difference from front to rear spacers under the hangers and test to really feel the difference.

Notice from the setup posted at serpent site that some of them are using anti-squat setting at the rear lower arm holder. What are the effect? If I am now using both at the lowest position, how do I set for anti-squat? And also what is the mean diff using the older radio plate link flex and the new TE front flex?
I am still running the EVO version and am considering changing to TE V2, but dun like the look of the TE front-end.

TUNING WITH ANTI-SQUAT
Most vehicles allow the adjustment of Anti-Squat in similar ways: somehow adjusting the height of the front or rear hingepin mounts of the rear suspension arms.

Adding Anti-Squat will make the car Squat less during acceleration. This will cause your car to track straight on straightaways. It will also make your car push coming out of corners, but loose entering corners.

Less Anti-Squat will result in the opposite: a little less forward traction, more stable entering corners, and will track through bumpy sections much better.

Since your running your pins low already move the inner pin holder to middle this would be putting anti squat in. ...

Default Welcome Phil Trotta

I'd like to personally give a warm welcome to Phil, a veteran On-Road racer to the Serpent ranks. Phil recently aquired two 966 TE and did a really nice job building them.

For those who do not know Phil, he is a very knowlegdeable and experienced Nitro as well as Electric racer. Ask him questions on this thread and I know he will answer. We are fortunate to have him aboard.

More importantly, Phil is a gentleman.

Welcome Phil.

Paulie

Thanks Paulie and Dan .... The exceed pack is perfect for the 966 te over other cells ... It's flatter and wider and will not bind on bottom of fuel tank as other cells( LIpo) are fatter and will push up or bind on tank. Causing clearance problems with carb ....

Ran this car first time on sat Car was a good build seems to have a lot of rear bite. I suggest ordering option spring sets front and rear from serpent to dial in to your track kit springs may be a little soft I'll be testing more tomarrow
