Default Kyosho Starter Box

I just bought a kyosho starter box for my HPI R40. Having a hard time generating enough power. Any suggestions? I know it requires 2 7.2 volt batteries. Does it matter how many mah the battery has?

Thanks

The voltage will dictate the power and the mah will determine the run time. If you are breaking in a new engine or have a tight pinch on it, it would be a good idea to warm the engine with a heat gun before you start it. You might have to loosen the glow plug a touch to ease the compression as well.

i was able to fit a 12v gel fits snug inside but gives it a good kick to turn the engines
