As Stefan told you we will supply one of the batteries with the car.
In the moment we are testing some different batteries, LiPo, Li Ion and other.
Some with 6.6 and some with 7,4 like the Lipos.
For charging we will not have to use a balancer for any of the batteries, but for use in the car it is depending to the Receivers and the servos if you need to use a regulator. In the moment it looks like it will be a 2000mAh 7,4V.
Works great, easy to charge up to 2A, and good capacity.
If that is the case, just use A123 cells. They do not require balancing, they have slightly more weight so you don't add weights all over the place, they are durable, long-lasting, charge at 2+ amps, capable of 2000+ mah, and meet the 6.6v minimum. Easier to maintain as well, compared to LiPo. And you can charge them as LiPo or LiFe.
Just my two shellings.
