Engin Sealing

Hey guys and girls

Ive got a Problem with my NOVA JP its leeking fuel from the bottom of the carb and there is allways dirt and stuff stuck to the block because of the fuel. CAn you help me out on what i should use to seal it with. Or should i just pull the engin down and leave it in petrol over night so that it gets alll clean.

THANKS :)

have you checked the oring on the carb????also if it is good you might wanna try a fine bead of high temp silicone on the oring that will seal it up...just use a tooth pic or something to apply the silicone and dont put to much...

Are you sure it's not leaking from the front bearing? U might just have a case of the standard JP front bearing leak.

I don't think you can do anything about it! Even when i have changed front bearings it still seems to pump it out by the litre. The best way i think to tell if it is leaking out the front bearing would be to look parrallel with the engine's flywheel and see if there is any fuel there. For example with my EVO i have fuel all on the radio plate support. If u do want to get them out i think heating up the crankcase with a hair dryer or heat gun would do the trick.
