Virtual Racing Simulator

Has anyone tried this simulator, is it a worth while investment. I see Nitro House selling it.

I have the free version that you can download from their website and I purchased the usb adapter. If you have an extra receiver laying around, then the adapter is all you need to buy. In the free version, you get one onroad track, one oval track, and a stunt park.

First off, the stunt park is stupid:mad:. Don't know why they included that. The oval gets a little boring:o so I really think of it as coming with one track. The one it comes with is okay but not very big. So, I have purchased a few other tracks and that makes the game much better.:D

As far as game play, it will probably take some messing with your computer settings to run without problems. You may get lucky but there are people out there who have had issues. Just check their website. They have a forum for questions/issues. Once I got my settings right, it runs really well. Looks good.

How realistic is it? Well, they tried to make it realistic. I'd say it's not too bad. There are a few things that didn't make it into the game like tuning the motor, roll center adj., car damage, weather, ect. But really, the adjustments you make on the car will affect the handling so that is pretty realistic.

All in all, i'd say it's a fun game that will probably help you drive better. I know it did for me. Plus, if you have nothing to race in the off-season, this makes a great substitute. As far as I know, this is the only game like this out there so basically, it's better than nothing.

I ordered it from the virtual rc website a long time ago. Can't remember how long it took, but I think it came fast. No regrets. I actually just got a new computer and installed the program again and have been playing it. It still is fun. And works great on my new computer and bigger screen.

You can get most of the equipment from a Hobbytownusa. They are currently testing a new version. It may be wise to get a release date on the new version. I play it at least 3-4 hours a week. It really helps with throttle control.

Pass you soon...
