i agree, the mtx4r is still a awsome car and not much needs to be changed, so i recon when a mugen cant beat a Kyosho or a Serpent or an Xray then the new 1 will come out.

2009 is an 1/8th onroad worlds year, I would think they would be working on development of the MRX4 instead of the sedan.

i wouldn't because they just brought out the MRX4-X so they wouldnt be bringing out a new 1/8th less than a year after they just brought it out.

Most manufacturers bring out a new car for the worlds amigo. Fact of life...factory drivers get it for the worlds...we get it a couple months later

How long was the -R around before the -X was released? I wasn't really implying a new car, just concentrating development on the MRX platform instead of the MTX for the Worlds.

MRX4, i think 2004? please correct me if wrong. The -R and -X are still the 4 platform.

The R was there by the 2005 Messina World's race. The X was for the 2007.

The problem is that there is about 1 mm gap btwn the clutch bell and the 2nd gear housing, if there is some excess chassis flex, the clutch bell will contact the 2nd gear housing and strip the 2nd platic gear.

Now I have tons of mtx3 to last me till the MTX5 comes out. The MTX3 is like a tank. A little slower but I don't run the risk of blowing out 2nd gear.

If you drive xray, what are you doing in here? Thinking about upgrading to a Mugen? I don't blame you.

ryan41 is the type of guy that thinks what wins the worlds, will make him win. Believe me his lack of results show that he should of stuck with MUGEN.
