starter box motor pinion gear

I have a starter box, single motor 550 motor.

it is dead, the brush is total melt down.

just bought a 750 motor from metro hobby.

however, i am having difficulty to remove the pinion gear on the old motor. there is no crap screw. r there anyone has some idea for me how to remove it? many thanks.

Man do I wish I had one of those when my starter box motor died. I ended up doing some SERIOUS dremel work to get the pinion off my bad motor and my good motor. Where can you pick one of those gear pullers up (and a 750 motor, just in case my motor craps out on me again?)

i take the bottom parts of the motor off. then place it on a metal plate, use a hammer. and a concrete nail. get it off. takes me 3 mins.

now, it is working again.
