Questions?? NTC3 Engine Replacement

Can someone tell me what the largest engine I can cram into a NTC3 is, and also, what is the highest rpm engine I can get that will fit into same?
I have noticed the O.S. 12TZ Spec II.

(this car is not to race)

It's too much, the diff gears end up melting. Ask me how I know....
It will work, and be pretty quick, but you'll be going through diff gears like it's going out of style. And the more you take the diff apart, the more diff housings you'll need as the screw holes eventually strip out.
