Robitronic Lap Counter

does anybody have one of these ----> http://www.robitronic-usa.com/index.php?page=736 ?

well I do and was wondering how others designed their bridge set up? I'm using a 10 ft wide pvc bridge for 1/10 nitro sedans races. its ok, but theres always room for improvement.

frankly, i be surprised if anybody else has one.

I just bought one of these also. Was wondering how you ended up setting up your bridge?

I do not use one of these systems, but I can tell you we started with a PVC bridge and it got cut down by the cars, so I moved to a taped down to the track loop, using two telephone wires, (what we do is cut a part cat 5 network cable, and keep the pairs together. You only need one wire, so teh second wire as a back up.) This works great with the AMB system, which is what we use.

I see from the pictures, this system needs to be able to see the eye on the PT, so you only have one option to run a PVC bridge over the track and you will need to mount your PT so the system can see it.

I know that AMB is expensive, but it does allow most to come and race, as most have the AMB PT.

I'm not saying do not look at this, I'm just giving you feed back.:D

Bridge at our track is pvc pipe. We have velcro patches on the back side (opposite side of oval flow) and we attach the receivers to each velcro with velcro on them. In this manner we can take the receiver line off and store it since the track area is not heated other than race night and practice day. This for the high banked short carpet oval. Mostly 1/18th classes but we do run Legends. Next summer we will running the bridge on our outdoor tri oval tracks. Large track for 1/10th and smaller tri in one end for 1/18th. We can transport the bridge out to the track and plug in the computer and be ready to go.
