For bashing or competitive racing? 4 tec is only good for bashing.

For serious racing I would go with a Mugen mtx-4r, Xray nt-1 or Kyosho RRRRRRR whatever number of r's and evo's they are up to now.

if you are starting out - get the Team Associated NTC3 stock number 2042. if you are planning to race-get what the other guys reccommended.

Well, that is like saying I want to get a car. A Saturn will do the job, but a Porsche would be what I want. Give us some information as to what you want it for. If you are looking to just play in the parking lots and streets, I would suggest looking at the NTC3 RTR. If you are looking for a car that you can race, I would say that NT1 is a great choice, but if you are looking to just have some fun, you want a car that is durable and won't break everytime you hit something. You also want a car that is easy to work on.

I love the NTC3 RTR. Very easy to work on. You could race it. But as always I would race what others in the area have. You can snag parts and setups from them and really judge yourself v other racers instead of the car. IN my area a lot of people do still run the Nitro TC3 because they are easy to work on and so many parts are out there.
