check this out http://www.rcprosites.com/site/op/co...contentid/1306 RULES FOR GT SPEC RACING & GT OPEN CLASS
I see the "no foams" rule for all GT classes, guess I won't mess with any foams for now.
My real concern for tires is to have something that works and is cost effective. I want to keep the operating costs reasonable. I don't mind spending on upgrades b/c they last, but spending on "disposable" items like tires gets old fast. That's been my biggest beef with my on-road cars, the cost and frequency of replacing the tires, dropping $40-50 for a new set of tires for every half gallon of fuel is getting old. If the fuel/tire costs get too high, I'd probably stop racing.
Operating expenses is one reason I'm starting to look at 1/5th scale gasoline powered vehicles. They cost more upfront but I think it evens out in about 6 months of operation and then are cheaper.

To all concerned this race(F-1 Worlds) has been cancelled, I posted it on the onlinerc.com website last Tuesday am. and it has been posted on the RC Pro Series website ( www.rcprosites.com ) since last Tuesday.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. I would have posted last Tuesday if I was aware that this was posted on this thread.
