DId Paul flame out in the pit's on a tire change? If so the same thing happened to Burch at the US nationals. The .12 engines don't want to stay running on tire changes, then they vapor lock and don't start. That just sucks for any tire change with a .12 engine.

Interesting quote from RedRC:

The Kyosho V-One RRR platform seems to be very popular here, however only a handful of drivers, including Takaaki Shimo, are using the Evo 2 version, the others using the previous version. Non sponsored racers such as Daniele Ielasi has upgraded his car by using Capricorn RC manufactured option parts such as this new radio plate that allows the racer to mount the Xray NT1 fuel tank in the car.

Well, the race is over and I'll get more into the details later as we are about to head out for dinner.

Congrats to Mr. Ielasi!! He ran a perfect and consistant final and deserved to be World Champion.

Tosso ran out of fuel or he had a good shot at it and for sure Paulie did. There was a little miscommunication in the pits on my behalf and I was not prepared for his tire change (I thought it we were changing on the next stop) so there was a little delay in getting the tires on/off the car and as we put on the rear tires the engine stalled. Of course, it was hot and we could not re-start the engine. Finally, it started and he was off and running making up over 2 1/2 laps. I feel super bad for Paulie and am frustrated with myself for the stupid mistake. Ralphy and I spoke about the seeming US nitro WC curse. Tosso, Burch, Mikey, myself and now Paulie... It's really a shame we've failed to bring one home to the US as we've all been extremely fast and had great oppertunities for it. Maybe some day, one of us can have everything come together to bring one home as I think the US definatly deserves one.

Well, off to dinner and we'll see everyone at 301 next month!!
