has anybody tried the diff gear from AE it is a clear yellowish
color but it is made especially for the new h/duty one way.
so it will not fit the standard diff it will just work on the solid
or one ways since they machined the middle to clear for the
larger oneway unit.

So is the stock NTC3 kit good enough to go out and get amongst it or are there bits I should buy and install from the get go?

jwf_frani,
I haven't seen anyone with these other than AE team drivers. They have been rumored to be available soon to the public. Have you seen them for sale somewhere, or do you have an actual part number? I will be trying them this year with the new one way, if I can get them that is.

It is "good enough" to start with, especially with the new tank (if you've got the pressure nipple in the lid, it's new)

However, go back through and look for some of the mods that we've done, specifically:
  • replace the servo-saver spring with the slipper spring from the RC10GT
  • Reinforce the shock towers (brass tubing and longer screws or fancy premade things)
  • replace all tie rods with Lunsford Titanium

I think those are the "essential" mods. I also highly recommend installing the blade-type sway bar at the front, and I'm going to try NTC3Nut's rear mod.

Yeah I got my HD One-way straight from AE with spares gears and it looked like the same material(and color) with "HD" written on the back. It was so new back then that it didn't have any packaging for it, just a little plastic bag. Part number is 1732.

We need them for the rear ball diff too. Stripped 2 of mine plus the drive pinion and I don't even remember crashing or hitting anything either.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the Nitro TC3, the car has been very fast since it has come out. From what people are saying on here is that I am not using a stock car well I have news for you the car I am using is a car that has all the Factory Team parts on it. I am also using the NEW ring and Pinion gears that are available from Team Associated it is the same part number we have just made them from a different material that is much stronger(all the testing pays off) also I was using the turnbuckles with jam nuts which is still up in the air about making because I dont know if you really need them but they are a good thing for your mind.........Once again thanks to everyone and I hope to see you all at the races..........

Has everybody seen this yet from the winternationals page...

Thanks, I have stayed away from the one-ways till I hear all is well with them. Being at work, I knew it didn't sound familiar.

Yeah, Just read Barry's posts on the Winternats thread. Really cool that he would take the time to respond. Looks like the new gears are going to be another running change, same part number, new material. Sweet. With the RD Logics upper cases, rear toe-link mods, and the new gears (I can finally use a one-way, wooooo hoooo!), I am really looking forward to this season! Go Associated!
