The Evolva is good. I managed some 14.5's with it. I'm sure I'll get better with it when I get some more track time. I need to change a little in the set-up and get a little more comfortable with the car.

Are you getting caught with painting? I'm in need. The silver in black paint jobs are killing me.
Good deal! I'm starting to feel better about my setup as well. Look forward to running again!

I'll get to the new shells as soon as I can.

Yes. You can even use they're lightened flyweights and gray or red shoes. Mugen pinion gears will also fit the OFNA clutch bell and vice versa.

just want to ask, what gears do you guys use for the pinion and spur (1.0 module)? as of the moment, am using the stock ones that came with the standard kit (1st: 15-43, 2nd: 19-39). also want to know the internal ratio of the gears, anyone know? is it different for the 4 and 6 gear diffs? thanks in advance!

Huh. Stock on mine was 16/20 clutch bell, 42/38 tranny. 15 and 19 were only offered in aluminum. Currently I'm trying 15/20 and 44/39 with that SX12, and it peels out.

I think the IR is 2.5:1. Read it somewhere and can't remember. Since I don't have the manual, not sure on the tooth count to calculate it either. Anyone else know 4 sure?

huh? Only offered in aluminium?

Steel gears:
0234U 13t 1st Gear
0234V 14t 1st Gear
0234L 15t 1st Gear

0234T 17t 2nd Gear
0234W 18t 2nd Gear
0234M 19t 2nd Gear

I see a 15 and 19 there

At least ur right on the IR, it is 2.5 : 1

but the internal ratio you guys are mentioning is for the ntc3 which has ball diffs? will it still be the same for gear diffs? just asking guys, am getting a little confused about this.

The internal ratio is not affected whether it is ball diff or gear diff....it is only calculated at the bevel gears going into the gearbox and the crown wheel. Both LD3 and NTC3....and TC3 share the same 2.5 internal ratio....

You forget, I'm using US spec LD3. The smallest steel pinion they offered was a 16T. Now, I think they make one, but the part number didn't match anything on the LD3 parts list. That's why I have the aluminum 15T on mine now.

And gearing really depends on your track. The stock gear is pretty middle of the road for speed and acceleration. I'd get the biggest spur you could find in the tiith spread you're going to run and adjust the pinions from there

They are not listed as LD3 parts for me either, I had to go digging on the HN website to find them but they are there and I assume available From the part number they have been around a long time, maybe from OB4 days as stock gearing on OB4 I think was 14T and 18T.

On the Hong Nor site, yes. At the time, I was dealing strictly with Ofna/Nitrohouse. The parts list for the LD3 never mentioned anything steel smaller than the 16T. Even in the expanded list, it didn't. And while I thought the gears from the OB4 should fit, I never bothered to check. This was before I thought about ordering from overseas. Besides, I didn't want to order just a gear from HK when someone had an extra green 15T at the LHS...

Ah well, the main point is I have it now NOw to get it on the track and see how this NovaMega runs
