VRF201: how big are your rear tyres? if they are smaller then the front then this will cause the car to spin out as the rear tyres will be rotating faster then the front tyres.

Default Love my LD3!!

I love racing. Qualified 3rd for the final. Got caught up in the netting and lost a lap. Had faith in car. Finished =1st

Steve G, can only think that there may be a hole in the fuel line (from exhaust) which wouldn't pressurise tank. Keep trying

VRF201 Had a similar problem and stripped down my rear diff. Found I hadn't put a e-clip on one of the drive shafts and it kept slipping out of the diffs. Only had drive from one rear wheel. Worth a look.

Thanks for the replies...I'm going to pick up a tank before I leave the shop tomorrow afternoon eventhough this one is sealing fine and does not leak I'm thinking maybe the tanks filter is not flowing well enough I dunno I've tried everything else cept a new tank...tank I got in my kit is the improved version I gather...has the white or creamy colored seal on the lid ?

lol...not a problem samc47...just making funnies to help relieve the frustration of the situation. Got your PM along with some others that feel the same about the lid being the culprit...the lid and it's sealing qualities are just fine, it was one of the first things I checked. Interesting though that the problem got slightly better when I drilled 3 extra holes in the underside of the lid as per Kevin's suggestion...so I'm now leaning towards a bad tank filter causing some flow restriction. When I tap my finger over the stinger in an attempt to add more pressure to the tank it's all good but when I let it run normal it's like I've opened the tank lid Just one of those things I guess where you have to eliminate all the possibilities one by one. Will let ya all know how it goes with a new tank tomorrow evening....thanks for all the input guys

Hey stefan, did you get the ld3 pro in the version that comes with an engine or no? If it did come with an engine, how did it do? Thinking about getting one w/ engine.

My LD3, once the car has been driven a few laps starts to spin almost 360's when I exit a turn and add power (usually making right turns)
Will I've done some checking, it appears that I may have a rear diff roblem.

With the diff out of the car and holding the large gear, then try to turn the axle on the same side, the diff feels like it is binding.

However; if you hold the large gear and turn the other axle, it feels normal.

I took the diff apart (it looks good and appears that it was built correctly).

Has anybody else had this same type of problem?

Thanks!

VRF201: When new the drive cup that exits on the plastic side of the diff will feel slightly tighter than the drive cup that exits on the crown gear side....

Your problem sounds more like it's suspension related....ie tweaked more on one corner than the other. Do you have a tweak station ?

Thanks SteveG for the response back.

Currently, no tweak station
I will see if I can borrow one from another drive to check out the car.

Also the drive cup that exits on the plastic side of the diff will turn, but the other side is very! hard to turn.
Again though the diff appears to be built correctly according to the instructions.

Thanks again! for all you input and support.

Well that is a little odd....normally it's the plastic side thats a little tight Could be that the hole in the crown gear or the drive cup shaft needs just a little working in....disassemble the diff and test fit the drive cups in the holes, the problem will likely become obvious at that point and then you can seek a solution.

Oh happy day here...new tank solves the problem, ran a couple tanks through it and all is well. Frig go figure, my original is not leaking at the seal, seams or nipples....certainly had me scratchin my head
