Since you are just getting into gas sedan, make sure whichever car you end up with, that you can easily get parts.

i've got the ntc3 for you if you want to go that route. it would make a great starter car as it comes with extra parts and setup sheets.

I just picked one of these up at the track. I was told this is a really good car. It was the European champion. The first day I had it I went online and found a setup sheet and it was on rails from the start. Parts are readily available online at Brooklyn Hobbies. At that price I would grab it. '
Just my opinion

You have to make sure that it is not the car that had problems with the steering rack. guys made mods and all sorts of things to make it work but do some homework and if that is the car that suits your budget do what you wish. BUT I would more advice you on the track of a Mugen, Kyosho, X-Ray, Serpent, all of which parts are more readily available on-line in you LHS and trackside by a friend after you wrap the boards once or twice...

Even though the car fits your budget now if you are on the sidelines waiting for parts in the mail when races are going down. AS far as parts the source mentioned here probably supported that car to the max so its really up to you.....

Search thru rctech and there was a thread strictly for the RDLogics Mongoose (G4). This is a real cheap kit, and comes with foam tires too!!

Problems with the steering includes:
-steering links pops out from the steering rack and is very difficult, and takes quite a bit of time to put back (may cost you a race)
-you need low profile servo (Futabab 9551)
-You need to do some grinding to make the servo/servo saver fit without rubbing other parts.

The chassis/bolts/radio plate/side plate are not aligned accurately. Once you tighten all the bolts down, there will be a tweak (twist) on the entire car. You need to loosen the front bracket, and twist the chassis the other way, then tighten it again.

If you are using this for bashing, you won't even notice the tweak.
