My HPI branded STS .12R XS was similar, ran cool (if you wanted), and was fast. (claimed the same HP as the OS). But I think I burned it up by gearing the car a bit too tall for the size of the course. I ran the engine at about a constant 280 - 300F

All OS's Ive owned have lasted for ever even with some serious abuse. I dont try to abuse motors, but it happens mostly by accident

The Picco motors aren't too bad! They just have constant problem with the stock carb. At any rate you already put a Novarossi carb on it so you should have no problems. Better than an OS!

I got to help a racer at our state titles over the weekend who was running an LRP modded Picco, had the original carb on, very fast, very reliable, very easy to tune, very very fast.
Did I mention it was fast?

MarcosJ,

Couldnt help notice the yellow Twister Tyre in the Picco Pic! How do you find the the twisters handle?

And to the other FW05R owners at the VIC titles last weekend, thanks to you who helped me out in a tight spot after the brake disk holder destroyed my centre gearbox bearing and centre bulkheads.
