I also have my hpi pinions on a mugen cb , so it works pretty much perfect other than it wont fit over certain pinions.

Well now you all are making me ache for a new car. I almost got a Mugen when the MTX-4 was released but realized it wasn't worth it for me. I have been keep tabs on the MTX-4 thread too and the stripping issue isn't really very common. I think with a good hex driver you won't have problems tightening the engine mounting screws enough. AI, I like your idea of a cross over thread for all of us orphaned R40 guys. Heck, I might even get the new kit. I have so little time to race, but my finances are in good shape so.... Always seem like I have the time but no money or the money and no time. I just get to sneak off and read about all the fun I'm missing out on.

Don't forget about the G4S, looks like they are doing a pretty good xray like job as far as quality goes, and that car has been fast for some time now.

Bucknuts- The G4s is great, but being backed by trinity steers a lot of people away. Also, some items on the G4S are a pain to access. Overall the car is great, but would be better after clearing up some issues.

A.I.- Post some pics of that bad boy and let us know how it works out for you.

Regg - Where are you going to be racing this season? Please let me know as I would like to run with you. I just installed some light weight mods and I got a new full auto tire truer. I'm guessing that you will be running with FRR in Brooklyn? Please let me know where their schedule can be found.

Of the V12 Rodys out there you have 3 models: the 415,the 425 and the 445. The 415 I had is a 3 port factory modded motor with standard plug and the weakest of the 3, but has great low end. The 445 is the EFRA version and the 425 is the Ifmar/ROAR vs..the fastest of them all. The 425 and the 445 are a bit trickier to tune since they are hand modified, but when set right are flat out fast. They been around for quite sometime and aren't new. They do now come with ceramic bearings (the 425 and 445). The 415 seemed to die out being the slowest of the 3. You'd be lucky if you can get one today, but if you do hold onto it. That motor is a breeze to tune, starts up on hot or cold days and gets excellent fuel mileage. I wish I had kept mine, but the thought of nearly $200 for a piston/sleeve/conrod was mind boggling. Bare in mind the more you take care of your equipment the longer they will last you. Here's the stats of the two motors.

The link to them is here:

For that price it's a steal though I'd check to see what version it is and if it was used or not.
