Would you take any trades for it? How much you want. Yeah the hara edition is due out in 2 months. Cant wait to see it.

I heard this directly from an hpi rep at an hpi challenge. So, should be cool.

Also an s2000 200mm is due to come out sporting the new 2004 body. Im thinking hardtop as well?

Oh sweet it says 2005 edition. So this kit is going to closely resemble the us hara edition kit. Which BTW im really glad we are getting a HARA edition vs a 2005 blandly named kit. Hopefully it will have some hara flair to it.

Very nice find!

The new r40 looks nice....Wish i had one. What is with the redone fuel tank looks like most of the fuel will be off sel to the left. I guess its to prevent fuel from swishing around during turns which changes the center of gravity a bit. yeah hpi should of made the r40 have the capable to using ball and gear diffs. But...i never seen many hpi cars with ball diffs maybe thats y.

I got a 2003 edition

notice how the steering servo is under the tank now?....The receiver is mounted on the right(away from tank refills)....and the batterys on the left....looks like we'll need a brick pack for the battery......and the chassis will be stiffer without the battery door..also,look at the roll bar...its out of the way of the throttle linkage..

You need to download the sony installer, I had that problem, but know my laptop recognizes it

I think you can also notice some of the new hop-up parts here for the r40 in the back on the catalog page.

That's a negative ghostrider 1/8 scale is way way way more expensive than that. Maybe not kit wise, but when it comes to support like tires and parts it triples than 1/10.

Isnt retail normally a bit higher than street price. That should mean about 350 or so at hobby shops.

I know you can get the 2004 version for 330 from rcmart. So that sounds about right, maybe 399 tops. Which isnt bad for this kind of kit.

Even after that you still have to pay for ordering parts; both shipping and price of the item itself. ALso out of the box it's nothing like the Mugen or Kyosho Evolva. It's still gonna be quite expensive.

Fast Harry- Why sell the 04 so soon? LOL. I'm enjoying mine with minimal upgrades.
