Just got back from the lhs. Got a hitec 625mg I believe. 45 dollars 100oz torque .15

Thats more than enough torque for me. And speed is right on par.

First time ive strayed outside of futaba stuff. Hopefully im not let down.

The Hitec 625MG puts out 94oz of torque. Thats the same one I have in my R40. Works really well and is fast. Thats all you really need for a nitro sedan; 70oz+ of torque. Transit time is all preference.

Klanderman- Giving the R40 another tank of fuel while testing it's speed runs. Boy is this bugger FAST! It's running about as fast as my MT12 when ran properly and is getting faster by the tank!

That's awesome!!! Imagine when the high needle is set, it's going to fly!!!
I asked around my friends and there is one that has the RB representation in Guatemala, I e-mailed him to see how much the Rody V12 3 port STD plug would cost me. I just ordere some parts to restart the HPI rs4 200mm racer sedan that was collecting dust in my closet, my plan is to put the WASP engine in it and either order the OS .18tz or the OS.12tz or the Rody V12 3 port STD plug like yours. I'll let you know how it goes...

actually mi pipe scrapes the belly section, but I raised it a bit and so far it still has the old marks, so maybe you should raise the pipe a bit on the holding wire.

the pipe I got is the ths one piece pipe.. the nitro star .12r xs seems to like it...
I dont know if that header is long compared to others or not..
is it a longer header for more top or bottom end?

Klander-I raised mine also. Right now my Rody kicks the MT12 all the way around in performance; couldn't have asked for a better engine. I'd surely love to keep it and rebuild the whole thing if any problems occured. The NTs have been selling better than the GT at the LHS so if I get another ST I'll go with the AD2. For now its nitro onroad and the MGT. BTW, my futaba steering servo took a dump on me so now I installed a HOT bodies throttle servo. It's a bit faster than the futaba and has more torque also. It brightens the chassis a bit also. I can't wait to take this ride out 2morrow!

Longer pipe = More bottom end / torque

Shorter pipe = More Top end / hp

Wow guys im really dissapointed. I hooked in the servo last night and gave it a test. It was really slow. I had my standard futaba s3003 servo on the throttle. It was way more in tune with input and it was way faster.

The 625mg would also do some funky pumping action when going all the way to the left. It would goto the end then go back and forth like 2 times. I held it in my hand and applied torque to it and then did it again and sure enough it would jiggle at the end. So if this was in my car I wouldnt know it but it would probably do some weird stuff while turning.

Im returning this today and will probably never use a hitec again. Not only that it sounded horrible at first and was all thudy inside. Everytime I would make it move its like thud thud thud thud. You could feel it clicking and clanging around.

Im going to test another servo to see if maybe my radio has the steering speed slowed down. But I highly doubt it as I just switched to a fresh memory slot and it should be completely stock and at its fastest speed.

But I really dont understand why its so slow. Its also really laggy. I could be all the way to the left side before it reached the right side. When going full right to left.

Where as the s3003 was moving almost syncro with me. This sucks as im not sure what to get. Im thinking I might just say screw it and go and pick up another futaba s9451.

I knew I shouldnt have strayed from futaba.

It;s weird how your pipe is scratched and not your chassis??? I guess the pipe is lower than your ride height. You should start with 5mm rear and 4.5mm front.
