Transponder mount location
For you guys running PTs, I found this to be a real good location for a couple of reasons, one being that the wire routing is quick and easy. The other reason is that it is well protected from and collision damage.

Labeling diff cases
Paint pens work good for easy identification of differentials..

Cool! what type of shock are those? Where can I get aluminum shocks for the R-40?
#5500
Yes - It does have the Titanium screw set
The shocks are HPI 72170 ( ~$80/4 shocks ) - I bought them off of E*Bay for around $45.

Can someone please tell me how the R40's gear chart works ?
The lower gear ratio gives you more speed or the higher ?

If the R-40 is your first nitro car, Then you now that the spur/ pinion combination works awesome, but I you want more speed it's better to try changing the pinion T number than the spur T number, so If you want your car to have more top end and less torque so you don't spin it out on a turn I recommend you go up a tooth on the pinion gears. Your stock ratio is:
First gear: 48+16 = 7.260 ratio
Second gear 45+19 = 5.731
What I did to improve my speed is this:
First gear 48+17 = 6.832
Second gear 45+ 20 = 5.445
Afterwards I moved up to the lightweight 2 speed tranny, which has a greater acceleration.

Hey you guys, while taking apart my WASP engine .12 turbo I noticed that it has 2 shims above the piston sleeve... If I remove one of thse would I get a more torquier engine or what happens?
I also noticed that my engine is a 3 port, with all that torque fighting against the OS .18tz I could have sworn this was a 5 port engine... oh well lol... I love this hobby!!!
