Hello everyone...it's been a long time since I posted anything here. I just wanted to let everyone know that I no longer have any spare time for racing and will be getting out of the hobby for awhile. As a result I have been posting most of my stuff online for sale...it's been so damn tempting to buy something new with the money from the sales of my stuff. I can't even let go of my radio gear yet...to hard..can't resist...please stop me...
Anyways for those of you who I've been in contact with, and had helped me out through all my car setups and tips (you know who you guys are) THANK YOU!
BTW I'm sorry if my help site for the XXXX (I don't want to mention which car) car disappeared...my server had died and I had no backup of the web page.
Thanks everyone and maybe one day I'll be tempted again to race and will start all over again.
THanks,
Puma

R40 gearing
I race both on small and large tracks with ns3 motor . The r40 definitely needs a taller second gear. I find myself backing off the gas half way down 180'-200' straightaways. Most of the time I find myself passing up races on very large tracks because I dont want to blow my engine. I'm planning to do the .8 module conversion.

Screws kit question
Hi guys,
my R40 is on the way and wanted to get myself and hex screw kit ... I hate phillips.
I found one that most of the people like on http://www.rcscrewz.com/ ... for the R40.
But here is a question ...
Do you know if screws like Z568 (screws that pierce true plastic instead of following a thread (like the motor mount screw)) are in that kind of kit. It seems from the images that only fine thread screws are in the kit (like binder).
Wish you understand what I mean ....

I have and having a problem with my new R40. It will be running and I will be playing with the steering and it will just turn left and kinda stick there for a few seconds. Then it will be back to normal unitl it does it again. I have a Hitec digital servo.
Any suggestions?

just to let you know when I was racing at TFB raceway in atlanta which has about a 170 ft straight with a hairpin at the end and a high speed sweeper into the straight. The gears that I was using was 20/26, 60/54. I probably could have gone with 21/27 because I was shifting into 2nd while i was midway through the sweeper. I also started my tires at 59 for qualifying.
