I'm sorry that this happened to this thread. All I wanted to do was to give notice to people about this race in July. I was just really satisfied with running club races after the 2nd and cancelled Pursuit Onroad Challenge event. But I was approached by people asking me when is the next big race at SV Speedway? I wasn't asked by just local racers, but some I haven't seen since the RC Pro Series and KO Propo Series. I wanted to start my own points series, however I really don't have the time right now to work on it. But Terry (Pursuit Racing) calls me up last week and says lets do another race in July, and I agreed. At least in this event I wouldn't be working alone. I really appreciate the verbal committments from those who say they will attend. That support displayed that the mishap at the 2nd POC may have run it's course, and people were ready to have some fun again. Sadly, it turns out that it [the failed Pursuit Onroad Challenge II] couldn't be left alone.
To those of you who feel that I'm a liar, I am sorry you feel this way. But like a story, there are two sides to what happened at the 2nd POC. I only want to address the comment on me being a liar. After constantly go back and forth with Terry and Richard about the track layout, we got to a point where the track would not be run counterclockwise. But a new layout would be used. After some comments with the new layout and roughly 48 hours till race day, Terry and Richard told me that we will run the 3/4 aka KO Propo Series layout. I was on a two way conversation with them while I was at work when this happened. I asked the both of them that it is confirmed that we will run the 3/4 layout. I must have asked them 5 times, and that I will announce it here on tech. I wanted to make sure I was to post the correct information. They promised me that the 3/4 layout was to be used and not to worry about it. With this assurance, I posted the announcement on rctech. After work on Friday night, I headed down to SV Speedway and noticed the 3/4 layout was not being setup. A newer layout was there. I asked Terry and Richard why are we not running the 3/4 layout. They felt this layout may be just as challenging and fun to drive. If you ever have the chance to work with Terry, he can be very intense and passionate with his work. And it becomes a challenge in itself to try and convince him of other ideas when he is determined to see it his way. I asked him let's run the 3/4, but he felt this new layout would work. After all, this was race was his gig, it wasn't the Kel Onroad Challenge. Terry puts up the cash payout, I am not one to tell him what he should do with his money.
With the benefit of hindsight, I should have made some calls that night. It might have saved you guys the trouble of coming to Sun Valley. But I didn't have any phone numbers from those who I knew were attending the race, only the local racers. I did have BT's number, but I didn't know why I didn't call him. I could have posted here on tech, but I didn't think anyone would see it on a Friday night. I was also participating in the race, and I needed to wrench on my car that night too. I happened to spill loctite all over my car and had to take the whole thing apart to clean it up. It took a good part of the night to finish that. In retrospect, I am sorry I couldn't get on rctech to announce the change that night before the race. That would have been the least to do, and I didn't do that. After all this, if you still feel like calling me a liar, then at least I had the opportunity to explain myself.
I will be posting information for the Pursuit Onroad Challenge in July 12-13, 2008. FYI, I will not be racing at this event (big whoop! Like I had a chance at the dough!). I will be announcing and handling autoscore duties. I want to run the race schedule as best as I can and make sure drivers/participants are having a good time. We will run the 3/4 layout (I'm not calling it the KO Propo Layout, unless KO wants to kick me down a couple of servos to compliment my Helios radio...hehe). There will be no 2x4 or 4x4 A frames. The only thing that will be 4x4, will be my burger from an In and Out run.
If there are some who don't feel like coming, that's alright. We'll miss you. To those who will attend, we're going to have some fun.
Thanks for your time,
Kelvin

A piece of wood is killing this hobby. Can we just have a race and have fun?
I hope the big names in this game would read this. Currently, we have 2 tracks in So Cal and a transient track that's being transported from 1 place to another. I appreciate all the people who have dedicated their time, money, the sacrifices being away from their homes just to set up a place for us to play in. Would you rather spend more money to fly across the country just to race?. Thank you James Reese, Thank you Glenn Williams, and company, Thank you Richard,Kel and Terry, for the LOVE of this game...SoCal has these tracks for us to play in. Stop this infantile postings...Lets us all be friends and keep this game alive in SoCal....let go of the past and move on....Kel, get the track clean and ready..we'll be there

Mr. Hello stop posting in this thread. You are starting to sound like this fool that I know and yes RC for 25 years way back when I use to work for Trinity balancing armatures at 12 years old. As far a retracing my posts. Is that a bad thing? SV is my local track and why should people be subjected to reading those posts. We know where the truth lies and we will leave it at that.

I thought that this issue has been dead/close? The parties involve with this issue have been agreed that they will stop and call it dead, but why are there people that not even from here in the US are still trying to fire up the situation? I do not understand why people just don't mind their on business? I hope that this issue will end soon and to those involved will be at peace. And to those people that are not involve, stay away and stop instigating the matter.

Kel, Richard,
Count me in...
I always feel welcome when I practice or run the club race there, so the least I can do is support SVs big race. Nice, friendly locals, laid back atmosphere, and the barbeque is mmmmmm good.
