Honestly I really don't know. I asked a friend that I trust and what he said was the 2mm offset should yield a bit more rear grip. It has to with the slightly different geometry and the effect that the different offsets have on the roll center. It actually would make sense since I know the Evo car ran the 2mm offset and the Evo2 runs the zero offset. I know that a big thing with the Evo2 was to get the car to turn a bit better so it would make sense that they might change something to loosen up the rear of the car.

I changed over my car from 2mm to the zero offset when the Evo2 was released. I couldn't really tell any difference, but I made the change so my car would be like the new car and could share setups with people.

Yesterday i found out the following

1. Excessive tyre wear next to others. I am running 37 Fronts with 40 Rear are giving me around 7 min run time next to others that are running 15min easily with the tyres still in a good shape.

2. Front left wheel ( the one that has the most traction and beating as we turn mostly right hand side ended up as if i had lots of positive camber event though i am running 3 degree neg camber.

suggestions pleazzzzzzzzzz

Thanks guys

if everybody else is using an equal 37/40 combo, then you are just driving too hard. nothing would make you wear tires at a 2x rate that has to do with setup that would leave you with more than 2mm of wear on almost any surface in 7 minutes.

Hi, building my Evo for the next season and bought bunch of things, maybe you can comment -

Evo 2 chassis and carbon upper deck
Evo 2 rear axles/dogbones and wheel adapters (I didn't go for the uni's because I think you guys said dogbones are better) and A-arms

50 gram lipo receiver pack
2x Hitec's new high voltage lipo ready 7940 servos

Ti hex screw set from eBay

YBSlow brass 42g battery tray in case the car gets too light

Team Orion CRF .12 engine

What do you think?

I go 1.1mm of thread showing past the spring retainer. .4 gap with minimum endplay.

Next time you look for Orion engines, try the Alpha ABI.

I think they have a heavier tray, my car with the heaviest tray from YBSlow (58g maybe?) plus NIMH and 1.5oz of weight and I was coming in at 1726-1730 at nationals. Don't under estimate light servos and titanium screws.
