I plan on going to the 301 classic but my car just had a nasty crash....the receiver packs cord scraped the ground shorted and sent the car out of control.
I broke some parts and was wondering if i would be able to get them there before making a 12 hr trip. I mainly need a top deck for my wc, and a rear hub and a side pully. If anyone has these parts please and if going to be there let me know....

Below is a quote from someone that sums it up perfectly...
Having a lower internal gearing ratio allows you to go lower on 1st and 2nd gear pinions, and at the same time keeps the final drive ratio the same. What this also means is that you get faster into the powerband of .12 motors and the spool up time of the drive train is also less. This translates to faster acceleration corner to corner.

Last I checked, the EVO2 had the same ratio as the previous model:

MUGEN: 2.15

what can be done to prevent tires from wearing fast during final race....ie, besides using harder shore....especially on the rear wheels.

Im using front37- rear40 and for the long mains, 30min I go with 37-42 or 40-45 depending of the track and surface. I use 2mm split at the start and some times I end with 1mm split or some times 0 split.

I can usually get away with running a 3mm split with 1 shore harder rears for a 60 minute race unless the track is unusually harsh and end the race with just about even tire sizes.

OK, I have another question for everyone. How many people have converted to the X-Ray tank? I'm tring to decide just because I have had issues with the Kyosho tanks. and I know if I wouldn't get hit or hit a wall at mach 4 I would be having the issues......
I hate having this much free time, I want to go racing........ darn wedding.

your driving style has to change for longer races and your overall setup needs to keep the split even. if you are wearing the rears too quickly and you are already 1 shore harder then you need to look at possibly running less rear toe-in and not sliding the car into the corner or figuring out a way to make the front of the car do more work. If you have a large sweeper at the end of a straight that is full throttle, there is basically nothing you can do but run a harder outside sweeper tire.
