Default throttle

Were you sliding out when accelerating or braking?

No, I use the ybslow spool because of weight. I run the old style brake disc with the oval cam and the plastic pulley mostly for weight again and I feel that plastic wears the belts less. After a full year I am just now noticing wear on the aluminum ybslow spool, its a pretty nice piece.

that would be an indication that your brakes are set too hard on your radio. like i said, my car barely has brakes. enough to help slow it down but it will not lock except under the right circumstances and then you have to learn how to let off the brake when that happens. I used to be a die hard one-way driver though so I am used to very little brakes

Thanks for your answer, I will look into it. I'm also using the plastic pulleys. They're cheap to replace anyway.

Guys i need a new engine and cant decide between the NR 353 Race 09 and RB T9-RC. I need an engine that can hold a tune easily & reliable. Also i will be needing a clutch kindly suggest.

Thanks

I think the NR 353 09 is the better choice. This 2 engines are completely different in their characteristics but they have similar (and very high ) performances.
The main differences to me is that the RB engine has a very very big cooling head. This is a positive note if you use it in a hot season but could become a problem when temperatures slow down as in this period (in Europe I mean ). Infact you could have some problem due to the exxagerated cooling power if the head.

...but as I said before they are 2 excelent engines

you really don't need to burn $400 on an engine, get the RB T9 or a Picco evo4 depending on where you can find them. The picco holds a tune extremely well although I can't speak for the RB because I have only seen them run and have not tuned one myself. $200 is about the most you need to spend to have a decent engine. The guys with the modded 353 race 09's will not have much considering you can practice twice as much for the same cost.

I was not considering the price of the engine but I was only comparing the 2.

Also to me this engines costs too much.
If you want a very powerfull engine and not too expensive you can also buy a Novarossi Plus 12 3 sct. I can say it has no less power than a Plus2.
Dario Balestri yet uses this engine in the Italian Campionship this year and so....

your friends red dot needs to be tuned correctly. The nova is a good engine, but unless the track is 2 miles long it isn't the engine that makes the car 2 secs faster.
