Default Using different brands of crystals?

If I were to get a Sanwa/Airtronics M8 (looking into it), I'd like to know if I have to buy actual Sanwa FM 40Mhz crystals if I want a few spares or if I am able to use any brand.

Any help is appreciated.

Default Crystals

I tried using some Futaba FM crystals in my MX3 and they glitched, but i'm not sure if it'll be any different in the M8 or not.

Default Re: Crystals

i've got two cars (nitro/electric). i use the same freq on both but i am inclined to use the same set of crystals that came in the pack (ie; not mixing and matching 40.675 even though they are the same) becouse even with the same freq there are small discrepancies.
