No worries.

With their capacity up to the 1100 mAh mark, there should not be a problem provided all the servos are set properly (even if both are digital ones).

I think some pros do not like the idea mainly because it removes weight from the center and bottom of the chassis but they solved this by having steel or brass battery holders. Others do not like the idea of extra wiring and electronics that LiPos require. For some cars it is difficult to add the regulator itself without placing it in a high-risk area of the chassis.

Go here to see how its done on the 710/720.

I know most of them in a near past choosed to drive with analog servo's because they are less power consuming. Also I have heard stories of a 5 cell AA pack taped on the radio plate which can hold (by then) with easy 2200mAh

I am running ACE DS1015 servo's and they are huge consuming servo's and still on 1100mAh I can run almost 45 minutes. With current NiMh 1500/1600mAh packs and better servo's it should not be a problem to reach 60 minutes

Most pro drivers do not use them becouse of their close relationship with the electronics manufacturer. The electronics manufacturers dont recoment Lipo becouse of the added voltage. While the performace is better not worth the risk of a DNF due to electronics failure.

Rumor was that Maiflied lost the Gas nats in 1/8 becouse the lipo blew the voltage regulater in the reciever.

when you use lipo you use a separate voltage regulator.others says that some recievers has builtin regulator,i dont buy that idea.ive been using it for almost 2yrs now no problem at all.

Gday Grub the reason im going away from lipo is because I would like to simplify the car. It means less things to go wrong.

Grub the weight of the VXR lipo battery & regulater is 74gr. The AAA 1100that I have installed are 76gr, so not much difference in weght.
