Default Rossi R12 Pixy Black

Hi

I just ordered the Rossi R12 Pixy Black engine thats rated to 1.8HP! (I'll believe it when I see it!)

Has anybody got one of these and if so what a good pipe to put on it?

$209.00!!

Cheers

i highly doubt it has 1.8 HP

or the O.S. three chamber, i belive its the T-1030

Ok thanks. Some sites say 1.8 Hp others 1.6 Whatever! I doubt you could use more than about 1.5 Hp in a car weighing 1.7 kgs anyway!

Cheers

Do you have the 5 port or 3 port? I have the 3 port and am still breaking in. It takes forever! I'm starting to wonder if I'm breaking it in right cause I have almost half gallon through it and it's not fast yet. It seems like it's running rich but my temps are at 220-240. Mines bogging on the low end with LOTS of smoke and sometimes doesn't get into 2nd gear or will shift late into the sweeper.

Yes,the 1.8 hp pixi is the one modified by uncle ernie.

He uses the best mods in the world to achieve such awesome raw power, but the best mod he has in his program is some good old fashioned BULLSH*T!

the pixi engines smoke a lot even at high temps. I run a 5pt. at around 245-255 and none of the modded engines can touch it. I don't think it a a rated 1.8 hp though. the engine i would next get is a novarossi ns12s3. The carb is huge!!!!. I run the one piece rd logics pipe w/ my rossi pixi. P.S (rd logics are the cheapest and the best pipes on the market.)

Hey mckrooz,

Try opening up your idle screw a bit and then counter the high idle with your low speed needle. I had a similiar problem with my O.S TR .12 . Couldn't figure out why it was getting so hot and bogging down at low speeds, until a guy that was more knowlegdgeble about tuning engines heard my engine running.

Hope that helps

Default R12 black Pixi

From Trinity, they say the 3 port is about 1.3 hp and 5 port a little more. These are of course with standard plugs. There is a outlaw 5 port turbo with more hp.

I just got back a Murnam Modified of the R12 Black Pixi 3 port. Started the break-in process yesterday and the motor is super tight. It will take sometime to completely break it in.

With the modification, HP will be around 1.7 - 1.8.

Other than that, the motor is very strong and will run with any modifed motor. The stock motor is also very strong out of the box and is not hard to adjust.

hurt

hm....

to bad its so expensive

but the low end seems to be the same on the in feild

and most novarossi's can keep up with it on the strait(120-130FT)

but idk, because one of the best drivers uses it

but he's been getting TQ alot so i guess the engine really does give you a slight advantage

but i'll keep my MR-12 for now
