MTX3 = 5th place
Thanks for the info guys!!!!! If you know of anyone else (regardless of ranking) let me know.

If my info so far is correct, in the A main you had:

1-HPI R40
3-NTC-3's
2-G-4s
2-MTX-3s (finished 5&6)
1-GT4
1-705

BTW jwf-ronni thanks for the pit action, you the man!

Oh yeah two other things stuck out in mind over the past weekend-

1. I think it was Travis S.'s sedan, which exploded upon restart after flaming out and nearly burning to the ground in the pits. I think it actually had Ralph Burch's Alfa body on it at the time.
2. Rocket Ronbo's A-main shorts! Way to go Ron! Yeah!

Fire, Billy Easton was 2 seconds behind 1st and now a NTC3 isnt good enough?

1st 149 laps 45:03.27 ATSUSHI HARA
2nd 149 laps 45:05.87 BILLY EASTON

Now you will see a mass exdous from the NTC3's. It is like any World Series team that wins or like the SuperBowl champs, they have newly vested fans that say " This has always been my team" and then next year its another. I think its great HPI won because the only way the cars get better is through competition. But as far as saying " Associated/Mugen/Serpent/Trinity/etc " all now need new cars to be competitive is insane. There will always be a first place...and all others are losers is a crazy way to look at racing. But I guess it takes all kinds.

Im just curious.

With Hara winning this race, could he in fact end up representing the US (ROAR Bloc) in the 2004 IFMAR 1/10th 4WD 235mm and 200mm Nitro Touring World Championships and Japan (F.E.M.C.A Bloc) for the 2004 1/10th ISTC Touring Car Electric World Championships?

Just seems like an interesting story.

Congrats to all the racers.

As for MTX3......................

Congrats to all the racers.
This seems tobe the biggest issue for a lot of people, what gives.

We had to compete against a lot of GI's at the German Nationals in the 80's and 90's and none of them had to go through what we have to to (including Hara) to obtain a visa for the US.

Just give it a rest.

He was better than everybody and it doesn't matter where he was born, especially not in this country.

I vote that only native Americans are ellegible to compete at the nats

Well I'm the reason the mtx-3 finished 5th... In warm-up the tires I had ready for the main did not feel right, so I changed to the set I used in the last qualifier...but forgot to raise my ride height (I must of started at 3mm front, and 3.5mm rear) Not the type of mistake you would expect from someone who has raced for over 21 years..

My car was very good all weekend till the main, it was very consistant:

Round laps Time Round Result
1 17 5:08 3rd
2 17 5:09 1st
3 17 5:09 11th
4 17 5:09 5th
5 17 5:12 7th
6 17 5:04 3rd

The car was easy to drive and pretty fast

To all the mtx-3 owners I am sorry for my mistake (senior moment I am 45 you know)

And hope to do better in 4 weeks at the worlds for the mrx-3 owners...

Ron

Joel Johnson G4
Leo Virtusio MTX-3
Pepe Velez MTX-3
Richard SAxton NTC3
Tony Neisinger NTC3
Paul Lemieux G4
Steve Chamberlain NTC3
Paul Wynn Schuey
Paul Dabao yok gt-4
Geoff Beach
Dave Ehrlich MTX-3
Andrew Swanson NTC3

stephen... your comment is useless Roar rules state that to enter a national championship event you must be a resident in the region for 6 months and a current roar member...if both those requirements were met, then the call was correct... as for mdawsons comment it is a valid question as to the roar team next year... or his standard country's team... Roars team is made up from these results, if I remember right the top 40 make the team...

Well congrates to Hara for a great drive, and to the rest of the drivers in the event...
(sorry for the plug) Hara used the new Losi Alfa TL8080 as did Ralph Burch and myself

I see no reason to apologize, You are one of the top 25 drivers in this country, and doing it for over 21 years, is a comendable accomplishment I applaud you and your ability. Now can I have some of your MOJO

With qualifying times like these you should have definitely been in the hunt.I was curious about your lap times in the mains wondering why you were off pace,I new something was wrong. Can you tell us what was the feel of the car(under, over steer etc.)with the lower ride hieght? Thanks
