Default shock weights?

as stated, im new to on-road.. the upgrade shocks on both rs4's were removed and it is coming with 8 new unfilled hpi shocks(2 cars).. im wondering were to start with shock oils and springs. i have know idea being that my other on road is a fifth scale 5b. my basic surface is going to be fresh tarmac and concrete, one has foams and the other has rubbers, if that matters. im just looking for a starting place, will the stock springs do for now? thanx
hpi 5b on-road, hpi rs4 evo, hpi rs4-3....

Start with 50wt oil and black kit springs front and rear on both cars. If you don't have the manuals, download them from www.hpiracing.com . Both cars come with black springs and 35 or 40 wt oil. The stock springs work really well on asphalt and the 50 wt is a good starting point. Set the cars up just like the manuals show. HPI really did a good job starting you off with a setup that works well on most surfaces.
