Cutting bodyshell for 1/8 serpent 977
Hello all
what is the best way to cut a new bodyshell , what I mean is so that the engine sits perfectly in shell.
when I last did one I ended up cutting such a big hole where engines sits and did not look that great
cheers for any advise

Remove tank, holding bar and engine.
Place he body on top of the body posts and determ the holes. (I use a magnet system)
Make the holes
Mount the engine and remove the engine head (leave the plug)
Mount the body and press the body on tip of the plug
Use a circel cutter to cut out the engine hole, in case of no circel cutter, cut a small hole arround the marked point and screw the head on it, use the outline of the head to draw the circel with a marker.
Place the tank and again the body start with a small hole arround the bump the tank cap is making on the body and slowly cut it wider until it fits
Airfilter is a bit tricky but start with a small hole next to the engine hole and cut it slowly wider until it fits.
For the wheels the same, start with a small hole on the wheelshaft and cut it wider using the tire as a guide.
Then mount the holding bar and determ the slots from engine and airfilter hole.
