Default cleaning your gas car

What is the best method for between race / quick cleanup.

When I raced nitro 5 years ago, I used a high volume hand sprayer with de natured alcohol in it and I would spray the grime and then follow it with a air nozzle. It was effective, but I have heard of clays and gums that people use to clean with now. So if anyone wanted to list the way they clean thier cars I would love to hear it.

Thanks.

I got a wad of Serpent cleaning putty from a fellow racer in which someone gave to him. And this will be my second season with the same putty; works great. BTW I bought another jar of new stuff

Use a compressor to blow off most of the grime and dust then use the Serpent Putty like they said. I use some type of orange spray for the body and then spray it off with a water hose.

One of my friends would hose his car off, then spray it down with WD40

Default siphon blow off

I use a siphon blow off gun to clean my car. I first blow the majority of the crud off using compressed air and then I drop the siphon hose into denatured alcohol and it blast the car with a combination of alcohol and air. Then I blow the car with compressed air and I am done. This also works for off-road cars but in their case I use water instead of denatured alcohol.

The siphon blow-off gun I use came from Northern Tool and cost $10 to $12.
